"Balloon" is my most favorite piece. It is a road of life of a man. In the first scene a man finds a balloon, starts blowing, keeps blowing and blowing - all his life he is blowing it! He keeps blowing it even then, when the balloon is full of air and soon it is going to burst... In the last scene the man is rolling down together with the burst balloon - the life is over... he left with nothing!One of my acquaintances - a carpenter, during his hangover recognized himself in this man. He said: if I had not returned back to the table and drank several more glasses yesterday after getting up from the feast I would not be in such a state now! Indeed, he was like dead! "Balloon" is a symbol of greed. But my opinion unlike the carpenters’ is different. "Balloon" is life and we - the people blow this balloon. Many believe in «blowing the balloon» - and are proud of it... The balloon is charming! I wrote on the painting the following: «From the very start a burst balloon became my lot. I looked into it and concluded: all the same I still have to blow it. It is beyond human powers to refuse! I blow, and blow...»I keep blowing it to this day! I would refrain from any other comments at this time.
