The process I had been working with the past year of creating layers of clear mixed with paint decided to take a new turn when I decided to finish this painting with out backers first. I used so much of my secret clear ingredient that it actually poured right off the canvas onto my hardwood floor. I left it. Hoping it would dry and maybe I could peel it up. I could and I did. Now the painting is free from the canvas box that would otherwise contain it. This piece gives the illusion of the painting pouring down over the canvas, as opposed to painted on it.
